Sometimes when we've struggled with pain--whether from sitting for long periods of time, grueling workouts or a past injury--we can become afraid to move or feel like we have to be very careful how we move, in order to avoid re-injury.
Trust me, I get it! That's where I found myself, too...out of pain, but still not able to move the way I wanted to, for fear of hurting myself again. That's the motivation for this program. I want to share with you the techniques that have allowed me to rebuild and regain the ability to move in a way that feels liberated, strong and resilient. Dare I say, younger?!
These techniques are gentle and start slow, to building your strength over time. We'll be mindful of your current limitations and work to wake up muscles that have become inhibited from injury and inactivity, so that you are not only more resistant to injury in the future, but movement will feel easy and fun again.

Your Instructor
Hi there! I'm Danielle Beller. I've worked in the wellness industry
since 2001. I've been a Manual Therapist for over 19 years, however, 10 years
in I began developing overuse injuries from the postures required for
working on my clients. What began as
aches and stiffness developed into debilitating pain, so severe that it
threatened my livelihood and my quality of life. Out of necessity, I
began down a path of exploration seeking out techniques to allow me to
continue the work I love and to preserve my ability to live an active
and pain-free life. And what I
discovered was a new passion for helping others do the same for themselves.
Fast forward a 9 years and I have now had the pleasure to teach
hundreds of people simple self-care techniques to help them relieve
pain, reduce stress, make dramatic improvements in their athletic
endeavors and take an empowered approach to their health and well-being.
I deeply believe that as a society, we're moving away from only relying
on medication and surgeries to deal with pain and ailments to a more
empowered place. Integrating self-care techniques into our daily lives
can not only address issues as they arise, but also serve as a
preventative. Maybe you live an active lifestyle and simply want to
prevent injury, so that you can continue to be active and independent
into your golden years. Or if you have chronic pain, maybe you are
searching for a way to help yourself heal, so you can get back to the
activities or hobbies you enjoy. Or perhaps your occupation requires
repetitive motion and your livelihood depends upon your ability to
perform those functions. Our classes are the perfect place to
begin to learn where you hold stuck stress, to learn simple techniques
so you understand how to restore the natural healing response of the
body that often gets interrupted by daily and chronic stresses, and to
proactively stay ahead of aging, injury and many common ailments.
